Robert Stewart, AIA, LEED AP
Senior Project Architect
Robert Stewart joined h+ha in the summer of 2006 as a senior project architect providing us with a wealth of experience, and design ability. Robert brings with him a deep and varied range of experience, and a life-long love of art and history.
With over 22 years of professional design experience, Robert has gained extensive project expertise, ranging from master planning through detailing on a host of project types.
His project experience includes the Five Points South Branch Library, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Concord New Hampshire, projects for Baptist Shelby Medical Center, notably the Outpatient Services Addition and Surgery Department Renovations/Additions, Hoover's Bluff Park United Methodist Church Sanctuary addition with its refurbished pipe organ and stained glass, Vulcan Restoration and Visitor Center, Shelby County’s 500 bed Jail and Sheriff’s Operations Center, and various projects for the Jackson County Board of Education. Robert is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Because of the varied nature of his project experience, Robert recognizes that each project has its own set of challenges. He will draw from design solutions suggested by seemingly unrelated project types to achieve a better result, rather than fall back on solutions based on habit. Creativity expresses itself not only in a building’s aesthetics, but in its most basic functions and its ability to grow and adapt as the needs of the client change.
